Christianity has done much for mankind despite its failures. It is often criticized for not living up to its high ideals. Was it ever expected that Christianity would solve all the problems of man kind?

Our Lord Jesus thought better of this approach. His philosophy was never to seek a resolution for every human failing. He never attempted to resolve every case of wrong doing or neglect.

He understood that the greatest battles would be fought, won and lost in hearts and souls of men. There is no fix-all and end-all equation in our daily existence. Life is a constant daily struggle.

I pray "God give me the serenity to accept things I cannot change, to change things I can and the wisdom to know the difference"An individual is only powerless when he chooses to be. Everybody is gifted with freedom of choice which is the human will.

Lets not blame people or institutions. This ancient prayer demonstrates how far we have wandered in expecting solutions to every problem.

It is a prayer that acknowledges an ability to create change. It also acknowledges limitations. It encourages us to proceed accordingly with love, compassion and wisdom.
